So, I'm back from this "Animeexpo", and boy am I tired.
Well for one, the hotel I was staying at, was awesome, I was on the 21st floor and the window stretched from floor to ceiling. So, naturally I felt like a brooding dictator!
Well, no one noticed me or anything, but that's okay, it's hard to notice much with all the scantly clad ladies about. Well, that and all the crazy costumes. I really did enjoy all the costumes, usually I went to Botcon, and there was very little of that... but the entire time, I just kept thinking 'if only I had a Cobra Commander costume.' So, I've decided to make one!
I got some awesome stuff (including a mechanical dragon!), but I think my favorite purchase was a $20.00 grab-bag! (I'm a sucker fro those) I was expecting to be disappointed by it after I bought it... but NO! It was awesome! The mysterious paper bag held within it: A FLCL doll of Mamimi, two Monchichi keychains (that I've given to friends) a little SD Robotech thingy that claims to be only one of 5000 produced. (Blue chrome?) and a Naruto Tee Shirt (Yuk).
So after opening it and pulling out the NAruto shirt a called out "Any body want a Naruto shirt?" a guy walking by said "Yeah!" So I tossed it to him saying "Here!" then he said "Thanks, you just made my day!" Which made my week.
So, I also saw the "Gurren Lagan" movie. Now, before I get pummeled by rocks, I'd like to say, I really liked the show! It was awesome, and wacky! But the clip-show of a movie was...BAD! TERRIBLE! Holy mother of Santa! It was the worst editing I've ever seen! (And I'm wearing an MST3K Tee Shirt right now!) The passing was psychotic. It was like they couldn't edit a single thing out of the show! C'mon people, you don't have the time to cram that subplot in, just drop it! And it made Nia just seem like a jerk! And Kamina was in it Waaaaay too loooonnnggg!!! He's only in the first part of the show, he shouldn't be in 3/4s of the "movie" <- Notice the quotation marks, please!
Also, while I'm at it... what's the connection between the Anit Spiral:

Meanwhile I did very much enjoy the DieBuster movie. Finally go to see where Dix-Neuf comes from (Got the Revoltech a while back. It's name is 19 in French!) That was also a clip-show movie, but I didn't really notice it. Very action heavy movie, but still came off well.
HOLY COW, thanks for all the faves and comments while I was gone!
