Nidoking: The Nidokings hunt in large packs (twenty or more) and can decimate herds. They use bite-and-wait techniques as well as choke-and-hold. Their under-bites are used to grab hold of the prey so they can use all the strength of their necks to bite. The males are closely bonded to one another and play through mock fights and hunts. (Chasing one individual down and dog piling on him.) When a kill has been made it is dragged back to the homestead to share with their family groups. Nidokings attract mates by showing off their horns, tusks, and back spines.

Nidoqueen: Nidoqueens have a complex social hierarchy and pick only the best Nidokings to be their mates. The Nidoqueens spend most of their lives in the large communal clearing raising pups and fending off predators. The Nidoqueens also play by mock fighting and hunting. If need be a party of Nidoqueens can go hunting for prey but with their relatively weaker bite strength they tend to use bite-and-wait as their primary hunting tool. If the Nidokings return without a meal they may be shunned and chased out of the clearing. If a lame or deformed pup is born the Nidoqueen or king will eat it to keep the pack healthy as a whole.
